Description: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) (Travel Assignment)

Schedule Type: Day Shift (3x12 hours)

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Assignment Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: 06/02/2025

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) – PCU for a hospitalist unit/general medicine progressive care setting in Roanoke, VA. This role requires floating within acuity as needed, with a current nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care within a hospitalist-led PCU environment.
• Monitor and manage progressive care patients, ensuring stability and effective treatment plans.
• Maintain EPIC charting system records accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float to similar acuity units as necessary.
  
  

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Active BLS & ACLS Certification (Required)
• EPIC Experience Required (Mandatory)
• Minimum of 1 year of PCU nursing experience

• Holiday shifts required per unit needs
• First-time travelers accepted
• All time-off requests (RTO) must be submitted upfront
